Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel (born on the 2nd of December, 1968) is an American actress. Her roles include daytime TV as well as episodic guest performances and television-produced movies. Sofer was given an Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her performance in the role of Lois Cerullo on the soap opera General Hospital. From 2013 to 2022 she played the character of Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
Early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who was a psychologist, and Martin Sofer, an Orthodox rabbi.
In 1970, Sofer moved to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and her father. However, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania when she was a kid. The family was located in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue rabbi Temple Beth El. After having graduated from North Bergen High School she went to Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Lois Marie Cerullo was Lois Marie Sofer's very first appearance on General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993, as a manager of a band. Her first appearance was as Rocky McKenzie in the 1988-91 daytime soap opera Loving.
