Handler began her professional career joining the all-female Oxygen group, who featured in a tv show known as Girls Behaving Badly. This series was known for its secret camera and practical joke. This reality TV show was on from 2002 to 2005. Handler began appearing in other shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler also began working as the correspondent on The Tonight Show. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 when she hosted her own E! show. The show was named the Chelsea Handler Show.
